Why I developed this program:

Today’s Global Supply Chain landscape (GSCM) has radically changed in the past few years.  As a result, I have changed from my specially customized In-House training to primarily web-based, live and interactive classes.  I have developed a specifically focused curriculum.  It combines the theoretical type GSCM concepts and principles with direct and immediate applications to an individual’s job, in order to provide you with On-The-Job-Learning.

I wanted to develop a curriculum that went ‘Beyond the Basics’, but stopped short of getting into the minutia required to take and pass various certification programs.  The result is a seven-part series called “Beyond the Basics of Supply Chain Management and Operations”.

Each Webinar covers:

  1. The most relevant Supply Chain Theory.
  2. Direct application of the Supply Chain Theory to one’s job by asking:
    • What is the data made available to me to assist in measuring, monitoring and managing my area of responsibility?
    • How to apply the theory to my specific industry?
    • What immediate actions should or could be taken?
    • What metrics should I use to measure results?
    • How do you measure the results on operations, and what do those actions cost?
    • How do you measure the results against a company’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)?
  3.  Today’s Best Practices in GSCM and Operations Management.
  4. New emerging technologies in the End-to-End Global Supply Chain.

What students say about the webinars:

  • They are live and interactive, not canned.
  • The information and knowledge exceeded expectations.
  • I received immediate and direct practical application of theory to my job.
  • There was an effective balance between lecture, exercises and student interaction.
  • I achieved a better understanding of ERP and new technologies companies use in the Supply Chain.
  • We achieved an understanding of the Financial Statements and Key Analytical Ratios.
  • There was plenty of time to ask questions and interact with other student attendees before, during and after each session.
